How I got started
I began playing cards as a young boy with the family. We started playing the old school 7-stud, 5-draw, follow the queen, and so on. I was re-introduced to the game in college and instantly fell in love with the game. Since then I would study poker, play poker, talk poker, anything you could imagine. After finally learning proper bankroll management I have been able to make a very consistent income playing poker. I am recently married to a beautiful wife who supports me completely with my poker career. I get my competitive drive from sports and I have played sports my entire life. In high school I played football, wrestling, and baseball. I went to college to play football but during the off-season I wrestled for the club team where I placed All-American and earned a scholarship to wrestle at Anderson University. I started all four years at Anderson and this is where I seriously began playing poker. Since Anderson, I have been working on my Masters and continuing to improve my poker game. I am also currently a coach for Stoxpoker, be sure to check them out if you want to be serious about your game!

hey dfsuperstar (Aaron), played with you tonight on two 180-man NL tables. I’ve also struggled with this tourney. One 3rd place, the rest not so good. Lost 3 times on river card that sent me out each time. I play limit tables at Bay 101 in San Jose and also at Mortimers in Marina CA. cheers.//Terry
It has alot of variance involved. I was crushing it for quite some time but you will go through several dry spells. Winning is of the most importance and you need to focus on chip accumulation and winning before cashing and exc. exc. GL to you!
Hello dfsuperstar, on my 3rd 180-NL($12) tonight made it to 16th, this after their application froze on my laptop, that was great fun getting logged back in. I got low on chips with just few hundred and was able to make it back up to 6k and finally lost all-in. The first games probably a bit impatient and went all-in when I really shouldn’t have and should think it out more and wait for a better spot. Cheers.//teebee-gordo
Disconnects are unfortunately problems that are going to happen. I’ve actually had those problems pretty often recently and they do definately blow!
Cool picture. I looks like you could use me as a toothpick.
Just thought I would add this comment to your post about your video on Poker Strategy. It is definatley a great motivational video, I sat down and watched the video again before playing in $2.20 180 man SnG and actually won. I played quite a few tourneys (29)with mixed results getting ITM on 2 occasions so I went back to the video. The difference on this occasion was I didn’t want to just get ITM I wanted to win. I just hope I can increase my win rate. I know you said 1/40 is profitable but it does put you on tilt a bit as well with lost of bad beats. Great attitude, looking forward to more.
congrats on the win and continued success in the future! You’ll see more from me at Pokerstrategy.
